Unlike — Support

Help, answers, and how to reach a human.

Unlike is a logic puzzle. Every cell is either solid or outlined. A number on a cell counts how many of its neighbours are unlike it — different from it. Every board has exactly one solution, and every solution can be reached by pure deduction. You never have to guess.

Playing

I am stuck

Two tools sit under every board. Hint points out a cell you have enough information to decide right now, and explains why. Check tells you whether anything you have placed conflicts with the solution, and how many cells are still to go. Using either costs you stars on that level, nothing more — your progress is never blocked.

Numbers turn red

A clue turns red when it can no longer be satisfied, and dims when it is already satisfied. Red is not a penalty; it is the board telling you where the mistake is. Undo as far back as you need, or use Reset to clear the board and keep the puzzle.

I want to learn the rules properly

The tutorial on the home screen walks through every rule on real boards in about ninety seconds. It can be replayed at any time.

Levels, the daily board, and free play

The level ladder is identical on every device — level 40 is the same puzzle for everyone. The daily board rolls over at your local midnight, and everyone playing on the same calendar date gets the same board. Free play generates an endless supply at whichever difficulty you pick.

Purchases

Restoring what you bought

Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, so a new device or a reinstall can get them back at no cost. Tap Restore on the home screen next to Remove ads, or Restore purchases at the bottom of the theme store. Both restore everything you own — ad removal, individual themes, and the theme bundle.

A purchase did not unlock

Try Restore first; it fixes almost every case, including a purchase that was interrupted. If it still does not appear, email me with the date of the purchase and I will sort it out.

Refunds

All purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too. Use reportaproblem.apple.com — I have no way to issue a refund myself.

Progress and data

My progress disappeared

Progress is stored on the device itself, not on a server, and there is no account to sign into. Deleting the app deletes it, and it does not travel to a new phone. Purchases are the exception — those live with your Apple Account and can always be restored.

Starting over

Settings → Reset all progress clears levels, stars, times, and earned themes. It also clears the app's record of what you have bought — tap Restore afterwards to bring purchased themes and ad removal back. Apple keeps that record, so nothing you paid for is lost.

Ads and tracking

The free version shows a full-screen ad after some completed levels — never in the middle of a puzzle. On first launch iOS asks whether you allow tracking: declining changes nothing about the game, only whether the ads are personalised. You can change that answer any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Buying Remove Ads ends advertising permanently.

Accessibility

Unlike supports Dynamic Type throughout, and every cell is labelled for VoiceOver with its position, state, clue, and whether that clue is satisfied. In Settings there is a high contrast option that strengthens the difference between solid and outlined cells, and a reduce motion option that removes animation. If something is still hard to use, tell me — that is worth fixing.

Contact

Bugs, questions, ideas, or a board that seems wrong: vinicioscunha1@gmail.com. It is one person answering, so give it a day or two. For a puzzle that looks unsolvable, include the level number — that alone is enough for me to reproduce it exactly.
